Netspend Holdings, Pozen, Sprint, Take-Two: U.S. Equity Movers
Shares of the following companies are having unusual moves in U.S. trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of 9:40 a.m. in New York.
Netspend Holdings Inc. (NTSP) rose 1.2 percent to $5.71. The Austin, Texas-based provider of reloadable prepaid debit cards said it plans a $25 million share repurchase program.
Pozen Inc. (POZN) surged 45 to $3.63. The pharmaceutical company said it sold some royalties arising from sales of MT 400, including Treximet, for $75 million to CPPIB Credit Investments.
Sprint Nextel Corp. (S) advanced 2.8 percent to $2.54. The third-largest U.S. wireless operator’s rival AT&T Inc. (T) withdrew its Federal Communications Commission application to buy T-Mobile USA Inc., putting the focus on litigation with U.S. antitrust authorities seeking to block the $39 billion deal.
Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. (TTWO) rose 1.3 percent to $13.44. Glenview Capital Management reported a 6.9 percent passive stake in the producer of the “Grand Theft Auto” video games.
