Yen Weakens 0.5% Versus Dollar, Euro as Asia Shares Erase Earlier Losses

The yen weakened versus the dollar and euro as Asian shares pared early losses.

The yen slid 0.5 percent to 77.24 per dollar as of 10:35 a.m. in Tokyo, and lost 0.5 percent to 104.19 against the euro. The MSCI Asia Pacific Index of shares rose 0.2 percent after earlier declining as much as 0.7 percent.
