Microsoft Acquires VideoSurf for $70 Million, Calcalist Reports

Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) has acquired VideoSurf Inc., a search engine for online videos, for $70 million, the financial daily Calcalist said today, without saying where it got the information.
The San Mateo, California-based VideoSurf was founded by four Israelis. Investors include the Herzliya, Israel-based Pitango Venture Capital fund.
A voice mail left for the marketing communications official at Pitango was not immediately answered.
