Czech Heating Prices Set to Rise 9% Next Year, Hospodarske Says

Heating prices in the Czech Republic will be raised as much as 9 percent by most suppliers next year, Hospodarske Noviny reported, citing Mirek Topolanek, who heads the heating companies association.

Prices will rise mainly because of a planned increase in value-added tax and some providers may raise charges more than 10 percent, the newspaper quoted Topolanek as saying.
