China May Cut Reserve Ratio: Credit Agricole

China may cut reserve requirements for banks as early as this month, Credit Agricole CIB said in an e-mailed note.

Data from the People’s Bank of China indicated “less liquidity in the interbank market than we had expected,” said Hong Kong-based strategist Dariusz Kowalczyk. “This raises the odds” of a reserve-ratio cut in November or December, he said.
