Ukraine May Raise Spring Grain by 2.3 Million Hectares, IFX Says

Ukraine may increase the area under spring grain by 2.3 million hectares (5.7 million acres) because some winter grain will be lost to unfavorable weather, Interfax- Ukraine news agency reported, citing the Agriculture Ministry.

The country may sow another 1.2 million hectares of spring barley, 200,000 hectares of wheat, 500,000 hectares of corn, and 300,000 hectares of soybeans, according to Interfax.
