Tottenham is considering a move to sign Lukas Podolski after giving up on hiring Emmanuel Adebayor permanently, the Daily Mail reported.

Arsenal and Lazio have also been linked with the Germany forward, who has nine goals in 11 league games for Cologne this season, the Mail said.

Villas-Boas ‘Safe’

Andre Villas-Boas said his job is safe even after Chelsea’s worst start since owner Roman Abramovich acquired the club in 2003, the Sun reported.

The Blues’ 2-1 home loss to Liverpool left them 12 points behind Premier League leader Manchester City.

Tevez Interest

AC Milan could try to sign Carlos Tevez from Manchester City, the Daily Mirror reported.

Tevez, who is in Argentina after falling out with City, would need to show he is mentally ready to play, the Mirror cited Milan assistant coach Mauro Tassotti as saying.

Kean Talks

Blackburn coach Steve Kean said he would discuss transfer funds with Venky’s after the owner of the struggling Premier League team called a meeting for last night, the Sun reported.

Blackburn, which is 19th of 20 teams in the league, drew 3- 3 with last-placed Wigan at the weekend.
