Germany’s Franz Attacks Idea of Minimum Wage, Die Welt Reports

Wolfgang Franz, who heads German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s council of economic advisers, rejected a minimum wage of any kind and said the topic is becoming a “political football,” Die Welt reported, citing an interview with Franz.

A minimum wage eliminates jobs for people with few qualifications, the newspaper cited Franz as saying.
