German Union Head Bsirske Calls for Joint Euro Bonds, Bild Says

Frank Bsirske, the head of Germany’s Verdi service-industry labor union, urged the introduction of joint euro-area bonds to combat Europe’s debt crisis, Bild reported, citing an interview.

A failure of the euro would be much more expensive for Germany than if members of the currency union issued joint debt, the Berlin-based newspaper cited Bsirske as saying in a summary of the interview to be published in tomorrow’s edition.
