Roger Federer Beats Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in 3 Sets at ATP World Tour Finals

Switzerland’s Roger Federer won his opening match in tennis’s ATP World Tour Finals 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France.

The tournament, which was won last year by Grand Slam record holder Federer for the fifth time, is played in a round- robin format, with the top eight singles and doubles players on the ATP rankings divided into two groups. Each faces the three others in the group, with the top two in each section moving into the knockout semifinals.
