Manulife Financial Sells C$550 Million in Subordinated Notes

Manulife Financial Corp. (MFC)’s Canadian subsidiary has sold C$550 million of subordinated debentures, according to a statement from the company on the Hong Kong stock exchange’s website.

The 10-year notes have a 4.21 percent coupon and were sold by The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company, the statement said.

RBC Capital Markets and TD Securities Inc. managed the deal.
