British Sky Broadcasting Group Plc (BSY) investors Taube Hodson Stonex Partners and Odey Asset Management LLP’s Crispin Odey are supporting Chairman James Murdoch ahead of a Nov. 29 vote on board members, the Sunday Times reported.
Murdoch is under pressure to resign as BSkyB chairman amid a phone-hacking scandal and may be pushed out if 20 percent vote against his re-election at the meeting later this month, the newspaper said, citing unidentified people. Capital Research Global Investors may also back Murdoch, the newspaper said.
