SAS Holds Talks on Estonian Air Capital Boost, Paeevaleht Says
SAS AB (SAS), the Nordic region’s biggest airline, is in talks with the Estonian government on whether the company will participate in a capital increase for AS Estonian Air, Eesti Paeevaleht reported, citing an interview with Tero Taskila, Estonian Air’s chief executive officer.
The Estonian carrier, 90 percent of which is owned by the state and 10 percent by SAS, should be able to negotiate “much better” terms with Canada’s Bombardier Inc. to buy new aircraft than in a previous transaction two years ago, the Tallinn-based newspaper said.
