Kao Will Sign Agreement With Shanghai Jahwa to Tap China

Kao Corp. (4452), Asia’s biggest cosmetics maker by market value, will sign an agreement with Shanghai Jahwa Group next week to sell its products in China, said Bonnie Zheng at GLocalStrategy, Jahwa’s public relations firm.

Motoki Ozaki, president of Kao, and Ge Wenyao, chairman of Jahwa, China’s largest cosmetics maker, will attend the ceremony in Shanghai Nov. 25, according to an invitation sent by GLocalStrategy on behalf of Jahwa late yesterday.

Kao confirmed an announcement will be made next week and declined to comment on the details of the agreement, according to an e-mailed response to questions about the pact.
