MBK, Thai Sugar Terminal, Thai Cane: Thailand Equity Preview

Shares of the following companies may have unusual moves in Thailand trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of yesterday’s close in Bangkok, unless otherwise stated.

The SET Index rose 1.2 percent to 997.11.

MBK Pcl (MBK) : The shopping mall developer will invest 1.2 billion baht ($38.9 million) in MBK Arcade Pcl, a wholly- owned property unit, it said in a regulatory filing. The shares added 0.3 percent to 88.5 baht.

Thai Sugar Terminal Corp. Pcl (TSTE TB): The warehouse operator said profit in the third quarter jumped to 42 million baht from 5.8 million baht in the same period last year. The shares gained 4 percent to 7.8 baht when it last traded on Nov. 4.

Thai Cane Paper Pcl (TCP) : The producer of packaging paper reiterated a plan to delist its shares from the Stock Exchange of Thailand. The delisting has been delayed after some shareholders sought the court’s ruling to halt the delisting, Thai Cane said in a regulatory filing today. The shares dropped 13 percent to 13 baht when it last traded on Oct. 28.
