Crude Oil Advances to $100 a Barrel in New York for First Time Since July

Crude oil futures in New York rose above $100 a barrel for the first time since July 26, rising 1.1 percent as the floor opened on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Oil for December delivery rose $1.11 to $100.48 a barrel at 9 a.m. New York time. The price rose to $100.79 in electronic trading before the opening.
