Ex-Penn State Coach Jerry Sandusky Tells NBC He’s Innocent of Sexual Abuse

Jerry Sandusky, the former assistant football coach at Penn State charged with sexually abusing children, said he is innocent even though he showered with young boys, MSNBC reported on its website.

“I have horsed around with kids,” Sandusky told Bob Costas in a phone interview that will air tonight on NBC News’ Rock Center at 10 p.m. New York time. “I have hugged them and I have touched their legs without intent of sexual contact.”

“I shouldn’t have showered with those kids,” Sandusky said.

A defensive coordinator under head coach Joe Paterno, Sandusky was charged this month with 40 counts of sexually abusing eight boys dating back to 1994, according to MSNBC.
