Sasol Opens 1 Billion Rand Cobalt Plant, Business Day Says

Sasol Ltd. (SOL), the biggest producer of gasoline from coal, opened a 1 billion rand ($127 million) cobalt-catalyst manufacturing plant in Sasolburg on Nov. 11, Business Day reported, citing Lean Strauss, an executive of the group.
The facility will create about 50 permanent jobs and will initially supply Sasol’s projects in Qatar, Nigeria and Uzbekistan, the Johannesburg-based newspaper said.
