Bouton Wants to Be Non-Executive Chairman of Veolia, JDD Says

Veolia Environnement SA (VIE) board member Daniel Bouton wants to become non-executive Chairman of the world’s biggest water utility after it posted lower earnings, Le Journal du Dimanche reported without saying where it got the information.

Bouton would leave current Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Antoine Frerot to run the business, the French newspaper said. The other board members don’t want to challenge Frerot, JDD said.
