Billionaire Kerimov Buys 6% Stake in Rostelecom, Vedomosti Says

Russian billionaire Suleiman Kerimov’s companies bought a 6 percent stake in OAO Rostelecom, Russia’s dominant fixed-line phone company, from Yevgeny Yurchenko, a former head of OAO Svyazinvest, Vedomosti reported, citing Yurchenko and Anton Averin, managing director at Kerimov’s Nafta-Moskva.

Kerimov paid about 26.5 billion rubles ($867 million) for the stake, the Moscow-based newspaper reported on its web site, citing people at Rostelecom and an investment bank that it didn’t name.
