Merkel Bloc Lawmaker Urges Tougher Iran Stand, Handelsblatt Says
International sanctions against Iran over its nuclear program should be tightened as tension with Israel escalates, Philipp Missfelder, the foreign-policy spokesman for German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s Christian Democratic party in parliament, was quoted as saying by Handelsblatt.
Tougher sanctions should focus on the energy sector, Missfelder was quoted as saying in comments published in the Dusseldorf, Germany-based newspaper today.
