Sandvik May Cut Administrative Jobs in Finland, YLE Says
Sandvik AB (SAND), the world’s largest maker of metal-cutting tools, has started talks with unions in Finland that could lead to job cuts, state broadcaster YLE said, citing Arto Karjalainen, the company’s head of Finnish operations.
Any reductions are most likely to affect administrative employees, YLE said.
Anders Wallin, a spokesman for the Swedish company, didn’t immediately respond to a voice mail seeking comment.
