Pakistan Wins Cricket Series Against Sri Lanka After Draw in Third Test

Pakistan won its three-Test series against Sri Lanka 1-0 following a draw in the final match at Sharjah Cricket Stadium in the United Arab Emirates.

Sri Lanka declared on 181-6 in its second innings on day five, setting Pakistan 255 to win. Pakistan reached 87-4 before the captains settled for a draw.

Kumar Sangakkara was named as man of the match after scoring 144 in Sri Lanka’s first innings total of 413 all out. Younis Khan got a century as Pakistan replied with 340 all out.

The opening Test was also drawn, but Pakistan takes the series following a nine-wicket victory in the second match. The teams are now set to contest five one-day internationals and a Twenty20 match.
