Freeport Grasberg Workers Refuse 35% Wage-Rise Offer, Union Says

Workers at Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. (FCX)’s Grasberg mine in Indonesia turned down a 35 percent wage-increase offer from management during negotiations today, Juli Parorrongan, a union spokesman, said by phone from Timika, the closest town to the Grasberg mine, today.
