Argentine Stock Movers: Aluar Aluminio, Mirgor, Tenaris
The following companies are having unusual price changes in Argentine trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of 12:04 p.m. Buenos Aires time.
The Merval Index rose 0.7 percent to 2,781.40.
Aluar Aluminio Argentino SA (ALUA AF) fell 1 percent to 3.88 pesos. The country’s largest aluminum producer is operating at between 75 percent and 80 percent capacity after rains affected its power generation, according to a regulatory filing today from the company.
Industrial companies rose in line with global stocks as investors weighed prospects for political change in Europe’s most-indebted countries.
Mirgor SACIFIA (MIRG AF), the Argentine auto parts manufacturer, increased 1.8 percent to 105.30 pesos.
Tenaris SA (TEN) , the world’s largest producer of seamless steel tubes used in the oil industry, advanced 1.4 percent to 85.25 pesos.
