Thailand Stocks: Siam City Cement, Salee Industry, Tipco Foods

Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Thailand trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the close in Bangkok.

The SET Index fell less than 0.1 percent to 957.31. The measure dropped 1.6 percent this week.

Siam City Cement Pcl (SCCC) , the nation’s second-largest cement producer, climbed 1.7 percent to 243 baht, the highest close since May 15, 2008. Net income in the third quarter jumped 49 percent to 867.8 million baht ($28.3 million) because of higher domestic demand and prices, Siam City said in a regulatory filing.

Salee Industry Pcl (SALEE) , an auto-part maker, gained 1.6 percent to 3.84 baht, the highest level since Oct. 20. The company will resume production at a plant in Pathum Thani province from today after flooding in the area receded, the company said in a regulatory filing.

Tipco Foods Pcl (TIPCO TB), a fruit juice producer, advanced 1.2 percent to 3.44 baht, the highest close since Sept. 29. The company resumed production at a beverage factory in Wang Noi district, Ayutthaya province, it said in a statement to the stock exchange.
