Ventus Solaris Plans $296 Million Solar Plant in Northern Chile

Ventus Solaris SA, a Chilean energy company, is seeking permits to build a $296 million solar power plant near the northern city of Quillagua.

Ventus Solaris will install more than 478,000 photovoltaic panels with total capacity of 110 megawatts in three stages, the Santiago-based company said yesterday in a filing with environmental licensing agency Comision Nacional del Medio Ambiente.
