U.S. Jumbo Mortgage Rates Comparison

Following is a comparison of mortgage rates for "jumbo" mortgages or mortgages greater than $417,000. During the past five years, the monthly mortgage payment for a hypothetical $500,000 30-year fixed jumbo mortgage has fallen $419 according to a survey compiled by Bankrate. In certain areas, a jumbo loan is for loans exceeding $625,000.
