Persian Gulf Stocks: Aluminium Bahrain, Deyaar of U.A.E.

Qatar’s QE Index (DSM) climbed 0.6 percent to 8,631.11 at 1:34 p.m. in Doha, bringing the gain this week to 1.1 percent. Bahrain’s measure advanced 0.6 percent and Dubai’s gauge rose 0.5 percent. Saudi Arabia’s market is closed for the weekend.

The following shares were active in the Persian Gulf region. Stock symbols are in parentheses.

Aluminium Bahrain BSC (ALBH) surged 6.1 percent, the most since Oct. 2, to 0.52 dinar. The metals maker known as Alba forecasts production levels in the fourth quarter will be similar to the previous and has no need to raise financing to fund a new production line, Chief Financial Officer Tim Murray said yesterday.

Deyaar Development (DEYAAR) PJSC gained 6.8 percent, the most since April 17, to 25 fils. The Dubai-based property developer reported nine-month net income of 45 million dirhams ($12.3 million) after a loss of 489 million dirhams a year ago.
