India September Tea Output Rises 2.7% to 111.1 Million Kilograms

Tea production in India, the world’s biggest grower after China, gained 2.7 percent in September, the state-owned Tea Board said today on its website.

Output increased to 111.1 million kilograms in September from 108.1 million kilograms a year earlier, it said. Exports climbed to 21 million kilograms from 19.3 million kilograms a year ago.
