German Shipping Companies Request Aid, Hamburger Abendblatt Says

Shipping associations in the German regional state of Lower Saxony, representing about 100 companies, asked the state government for support in securing credit or other financial help because of the economic downturn, the Hamburger Abendblatt reported, citing a letter from the groups.
