Endesa Offers to Buy All Shares of Brazil’s Ampla

Endesa SA (ELE) said its Endesa Latinoamerica SA unit will offer 1.07 real for each lot of 1,000 outstanding shares of Brazilian power generator and distributor Ampla Energia e Servicos SA (CBEE3), according to a regulatory filing sent to Brazil’s securities regulator CVM.

Endesa also offered 54.76 reais for each lot of 1,000 outstanding shares of Brazilian power distributor Ampla Investimentos e Servicos SA, according to a separate filing. Endesa will take the companies private after the public offer is concluded, the statement said.

Ampla said in an Oct. 4 statement that Endesa planned to buy all of its outstanding shares.
