China Help for Europe Could Reach $100B, Li Daokui Tells Figaro

China’s intervention in the European debt crisis could be worth as much as $100 billion, Li Daokui, an adviser to the People’s Bank of China, told French daily Le Figaro in an interview.

In exchange, China expects at the minimum a better understanding of its interests, Li Daokui told the newspaper. He added that he didn’t know whether subjects such as reducing pressure to revalue the yuan are being discussed.
