Thailand Stocks: Bangkok Chain Hospital, MCOT, PTT Exploration
Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Thailand trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the close in Bangkok. The SET Index rose 1 percent to 965.80.
Oil companies: PTT Pcl (PTT) , Thailand’s biggest energy company, climbed 1 percent to 298 baht, the first advance in three days. PTT Exploration & Production Pcl (PTTEP) , the nation’s only publicly traded oil explorer, gained 1 percent to 155.5 baht.
Oil rose in New York for the first time in four days on speculation European leaders will push Greece to accept their rescue plan, reducing the chances the region’s debt crisis will worsen and curb economic growth.
Bangkok Chain Hospital Pcl (KH) , a hospital operator, increased 1.7 percent to 6.15 baht, the most since Oct. 5. The company’s six hospitals haven’t been damaged by flooding in Thailand, it said in a regulatory filing.
MCOT Pcl (MCOT) , a state-owned television and radio broadcaster, declined 1 percent to 25.75 baht, the first drop in three days. Shareholders will meet on Nov. 25 to vote for the removal of all directors, the company said in a regulatory filing.
