Barber Says Unions ‘Firmly Committed’ to Strike Preparations
U.K. public-sector unions remain “firmly committed” to preparations for a national strike on Nov. 30 to protest pension changes, even after new proposals from the government today, Trades Union Congress General Secretary Brendan Barber said.
“The plans for Nov. 30 remain unchanged,” Barber told reporters in London.
