Australia Delays Tobacco Plain Packaging Laws to December 2012

The Australian government will delay implementing legislation forcing tobacco to be sold in plain packaging by five months to December 2012, Health Minister Nicola Roxon said in a statement today.
The government said the new timeframe was due to delays in parliament’s upper house in passing the legislation.
