Kyushu Electric Plans to Restart Genkai Reactor Later Today

Kyushu Electric Power Co. plans to restart the No. 4 reactor at its Genkai nuclear station in southwestern Japan later today, spokesman Yuki Hirano said by phone. The unit was closed last month after a malfunction.

The 1,180-megawatt reactor will resume power generation tomorrow, Hirano said.
