Fujian New Hua Du to Buy Six E-Mart Stores in China

Chinese retailer Fujian New Hua Du Supercenter Co. agreed to buy six E-Mart Co.’s stores in China for 125 million yuan, according to a statement from New Hua Du to Shenzhen’s stock exchange today.
Three stores are in the eastern Chinese cities of Changzhou, and one each in Hangzhou, Ningbo and Taizhou, according to the statement.
E-Mart, a South Korean discount store operator, had 27 outlets in China at the end of July, according to the statement.
