Fraser Sullivan Hires Aladdin Chief Compliance Officer Maloney

WCAS Fraser Sullivan Investment Management LLC hired Patrick Maloney, chief compliance officer at Aladdin Capital Holdings LLC.

Maloney, 44, joined New York-based Fraser Sullivan as general counsel and chief compliance officer, according to John Fraser, co-founder of the firm that’s 50 percent-owned by certain general partners of private-equity firm Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe. He declined further comment.

Scott MacDonald, head of credit and economics research at Aladdin, didn’t return telephone calls and an e-mail seeking comment. Maloney declined to comment.

Citigroup Inc. priced a $408.7 million collateralized loan obligation for Fraser Sullivan on Oct. 28, according to Bloomberg data.

CLOs are a type of collateralized debt obligation that pool high-yield, high-risk loans and slice them into securities of varying risk and return. Leveraged loans are those rated below BBB- by Standard & Poor’s and less than Baa3 at Moody’s Investors Service.
