Amir-Mokri Confirmed as Assistant Secretary, U.S. Treasury Says

Cyrus Amir-Mokri was confirmed by the U.S. Senate yesterday to serve as the Treasury Department’s assistant secretary for financial institutions, the Treasury Department said in a statement.

Amir-Mokri, who joins Treasury from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, will be responsible for developing and coordinating the department’s policies on issues affecting financial companies, according to the statement released today.
