Afghan Suicide Bomb Kills at Least 4 in Attack on NATO Force
At least four people died and scores were injured after a suicide car bomber targeted a convoy of coalition forces in Afghanistan’s capital, police said.
Three civilians and a policeman died in today’s attack while several members of NATO’s International Security Assistance Force and other civilians were injured in the blast at 11:30 a.m. in Kabul, police said in an e-mailed statement. An ISAF vehicle was “severely” damaged in the attack, the ISAF said in a separate statement.
The Taliban are responsible for the attack, Zabihullah Mujahed, a spokesman for the movement, said in a mobile-phone text message. As a result of the car bomb, 16 foreigners were killed and injured and one civilian died, Mujahed said.
