OAO Rosneft reports on third-quarter earnings. OAO Severstal (CHMF) publishes third-quarter output. OAO Phosagro’s board decides on dividends. The Finance Ministry may sell 10 billion rubles of OFZ bonds. The Federal Statistics Service publishes weekly inflation.


WHAT TO WATCH: *President Dmitry Medvedev opens Rusnanotech 2011 forum at Expo Center in Moscow where his commission on modernization meets. *Prime Minister Vladimir Putin discusses public organizations at a meeting of the All-Russia People’s Front. *The Finance Ministry plans to auction 10 billion rubles of OFZ bonds with yield guidance of 7.9 percent to 7.95 percent. *The statistics service publishes weekly inflation at 4:00 p.m. *Skolkovo’s IT-cluster reports on meetings in Silicon Valley at a news conference at 11:00 a.m. *Federal Anti-Monopoly Service Deputy Chief Anatoly Golomolzin holds a briefing on a possible gasoline shortage at 1:30 p.m. *Grain Union President Arkady Zlochevsky, agriculture industry officials and Economy Ministry representatives discuss the world grain market and challenges in Russia at 2:00 p.m.

EQUITY MOVERS: *Rosneft (ROSN) plans to publish a statement on its third-quarter earnings. *Phosagro’s board meets to decide on nine-month dividends and a share split after 4:00 p.m.. *Severstal publishes third-quarter production results. *OAO Gazprom may pay more than 180 billion rubles ($5.9 billion) in dividends, double last year’s record, Vedomosti said, citing two unidentified people in the company. *OAO Rostelecom may spend as much as $500 million on a share buyback, Kommersant reported, citing an unidentified person.

MARKETS: *The 30-stock Micex Index (INDEXCF) fell 1.4 percent to 1,462.17, while the dollar-denominated RTS Index (RTSI$) fell 0.6 percent to 1,500.05. *Russia’s benchmark 2018 ruble Eurobond gained, reducing the yield eight basis points to 7.706 percent. *The ruble strengthened 0.4 percent to 30.5175 per dollar and gained 0.3 percent to 42.4000 per euro. *The MSCI (MXEF) Emerging Markets Index was little changed at 955.48 at 9:18 a.m. *Crude for December delivery advanced 0.3 percent to $93.44 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. *Brent crude rose 0.3 percent to $111.30 a barrel on the ICE Futures Europe exchange in London. *Gold for immediate delivery climbed 0.5 percent to $1,714.03 an ounce.
