Jordan Petroleum Refinery Co. (JOPT), the country’s sole refiner, said nine-month profit increased more than fivefold.

Net income was 55 million dinars ($77.6 million) from January through September, compared with 9.4 million dinars a year earlier, the state-run Petra news agency reported.

Jordan Petroleum Refinery has a processing capacity of 90,000 barrels a day, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Jordan, one of the smallest economies in the Middle East, imports almost all its energy needs.
