Gold Helps Manage Risk More Effectively, World Gold Council Says

Gold has emerged as an alternative asset for investors to help manage risks more effectively, according to Juan Carlos Artigas, a manager of investment research at the World Gold Council.

“Gold’s volatility tends to be lower than equities and commodity indices,” Artigas said today at a conference in New York. “Gold has moved at a modest speed, and the price appreciation has been more organic.”
