Dasa, MD1 Authorized to Operate Together by Brazil’s Cade

Diagnosticos da America, Latin America’s biggest medical diagnostics company, and MD1 Diagnosticos SA signed an agreement with Brazil’s antitrust regulator, known as Cade, allowing the companies to operate together before receiving a final approval for their merger.

The agreement requires the companies to separate operations if the merger isn’t approved by Cade.

Dasa agreed to buy MD1 for an undisclosed amount in August 2010.
