Bank of Spain Inspectors Criticize Management, Economista Says

Inspectors at the Bank of Spain criticized the regulator’s management after supervisors’ reports on banks were toned down by their superiors, El Economista said, citing a statement from the inspectors.

A spokesman at the Bank of Spain had no comment on the report. Banking supervision is the result of team-work and follows strict technical criteria, said the spokesman, who declined to be named in line with policy.
