Red Sox Say Ben Cherington Will Replace Theo Epstein as General Manager

The Boston Red Sox said they will introduce Ben Cherington as the team’s new general manager tomorrow.

Cherington, 37, has been an assistant general manager for the Red Sox since 2009. He replaces Theo Epstein, who is leaving the team for the Chicago Cubs after a nine-year stint in which he delivered two World Series championships.
