Mitsui Chemicals, Toshiba Group Plan $234 Million Solar Plant

Mitsui Chemicals Inc. (4183), Toshiba Corp. (6502) and four other Japanese companies agreed to study the construction of an 18 billion yen ($234 million) solar and wind power plant in Aichi prefecture, central Japan.

The group aims to start construction of the plant, with a combined capacity of 56 megawatts, in June, according to a statement on Toshiba’s website today.
