India Repaid 54 Billion Rupees to RBI in Week to Oct. 14

India’s federal government repaid 54.3 billion rupees ($1.08 billion) to the central bank in the week ended Oct. 14, reducing its outstanding liability to 328.8 billion rupees, the Reserve Bank of India said in an e-mailed statement today.

States borrowed 2.9 billion rupees from the Reserve Bank in the week.
