Intel, Pakistan Bank to Offer Loans for Computers, FT Reports

Intel Corp. (INTC) is working with Meezan Bank Ltd. (MEBL), a Karachi-based Islamic bank, to offer consumers Pakistan’s first large-scale hire purchase plan for personal computers, the Financial Times reported, citing Naveed Siraj, Intel’s country manager for Pakistan. The company is considering expanding the payment system to other emerging markets, the FT said.
